I don't want a program to convert AVI files. I want a program to burn a AVI file directly to DVD to watch in a DVD player.

Use Nero express. Whatever you plan on using to burn the disc to CD/DVD choose to make a data CD/DVD whatever your gonna burn to. I have a DVD player that will play Xvid/DivX video so I make a data DVD putting close to 4 or 5 on it and it will bring up a menu for you to choose whatever AVI file you wanna watch. It will also play stright threw. You can start the first AVI file and it will go directly to the next without stoping or making you choose the next.

Of course you will need a DVD player that has a MPEG4 Xvid/DivX codec.

If in thinking oof the right thing, you just add them to the "video" folder when you click "create a dvd" in nero express.

You leave the audio one empty, don't ask why i really don't know, but thats how it goes!

Maybe im thinking of iso files or something,

Hope i helped.

Thanks ireland!![afterdawn legend]

I burn them on DVD using (DVD data disc) as the option for nero. That way i can get 4 to 5 AVI files onto 1 disc.

As for the DVD that I got that suports MPEG4 (divX/Xvid format)it is at wal-mart and cost $55. The only thing is that the site says they are out of stock. Maybe you can get it somwhere else.

http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=2598455

This was the way I played my AVI files (Xvid/DivX) Now I dont even use the DVD player to play my Xvid, DivX files.

Just a suggestion for others that might have a modded Xbox. I use my Modded Xbox now and use XBMC(Xbox media center) to network to my computer and just play the files off my computer HDD. Or you could make a AVI folder on your Xbox HDD and FTP the AVI files to your Xbox HDD and play them off the Xbox HDD using XBMC.

Thanks everyone. Would a Ps2 do the trick and play my data Cd's? Probably right? I will try it out and see what happens.

The PS2 would have to have a (DivX/Xvid) Codec to bebale to read the AVI files you burn to the data disc. So no your PS2 wouldnt bebale to play them unless there is a homebrew app you can use to play them with a codec that you can install.

Thats how I can play them off my Xbox. XBMC is a homebrew app that has codecs that suport (DivX/Xvid).
