hd loader disc read errors

i finally got my MC exploit working, and i'm using the free hd loader elf that i got off one of the tutorials off of this site.

anyway, it all seems to work fine, but when i want to install a game, it always gives me a disc read error at some point in the installation.

the only game that ive gotten to install/run without errors has been tokoyo extreme racer zero (original).

anyone have any idea what could be wrong?
ive tried installing:
godfather (backup, swaped with swapmagic 3.6)
madden 06 (original)
tiger woods 05 (original)
black (backup, swaped with swapmagic 3.6)
arena football (original)
fifa 06 (backup, swaped with swapmagic 3.6)

i'd use winhiip to send the images to the HD, but i dont have a windows machine, and i cant find out any info about how to transfer files to the HD using os x.

any help would be appreciated

i've used HD Loader 0.7c in the past and never had any problems with it, you might try it off a disk and see if that helps.
