I have recently noticed a problem when trying to rip a backup of some of my brand new movies such as Memoirs Of A Geisha, The Chronicles Of Narnia, etc....
I use DVD Shrink with Nero for burning, or CloneDVD2 and also DVD Dycrpter. Normally, any combination of these work.
However, with some of the newest dvd movie releases when I try to rip I receive pop up errors such as Invalid Block Start Code preventing me from making a backup. Sometimes I can successfully rip them to my hard drive but cannot burn to a dvd.
Is there any way you know how to successfully rip the newest dvds?
Are there any new software programs or updates that successfully work in ripping my new dvds?

Yes, I am sure it is new protection that is being put on the newest movie dvds. I still have no problems with most just some of the newest like Geisha and Chronicles Of Narnia.
Re: DVD43
I have tried with DVD43, as well with no success.
Any other ideas?

AnyDVD - probably the best and most reliable/current tool available. Can be used on a 21 day trail basis.

AnyDVD is the best and maybe only current driver able to remove all protection DVD Fab and DVDRB may beable to to do the newest protections as well. AnyDVD for sure though. DVD43 hasn't been updated since December.
Who is that shadowy figure?

gleitsrik,
AnyDVD is excellent as you can now rip the DVD to HD and w/in the program FixVTS will automatically correct the structural problems. If you want to go the free route then you can use DVDFAB Decrypter then VobBlanker and then use Shrink and burn w/ either DVDDecrypter or Nero. You can even use Pgcedit w/ the PSL-2 Plugin.
pntyliner,
DVD-RB can not remove the encryptions

Thank you, however, DVDFab Decrypter is no longer available but I was able to download VobBlanker. Can I use VobBlanker with anything else?
