It depends largely on your TV, if your TV supports NTSC then the games will play fine. Ive got a bout a 5 year old 14" TV that plays all my NTSC games perfectly.

Really? I thought Swap Magic does the conversion for you...? Because at first I used SM3.6 to play my NTSC games, and everything worked fine, but when I got a chipped PS2, the TV that I used to play NTSC games using my SM3.6 with, doesn't work with the chipped PS2 because the TV doesn't support NTSC mode, so I had to use another (smaller) TV which supports NTSC to play NTSC games...
In fact just doing a search, http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/304534 talks about SM3.6 and how it force the video format of games to change... but Andrew691 is correct, even if SM3.6 doesn't force the video mode, as long as your TV supports NTSC, you'll be fine
Swap magic can force NTSC/PAl if you select it but is sometimes not very reliable, screen ends up off center. All the TV's at my place support NTSC so its really good.

@Andrew691
I don't have a reliable source here unfortunately... the few games that I have are either from friends or the net (which takes a long time - and you know NZ broadband - with the size of most PS2 games, the ISP will cap your speed after a few games) I think there are a few guys on TradeMe that imports games, but they aren't cheap.
Personally I've been looking for sources for a while too, at the moment its just been the net/friends though :( Let me know if you ever find any reliable sources in NZ please~ :)
Hehe NZ broadband, cant even get it where i live to far out in the middle of nowhere.
Yea Trademe has a few but they cost heaps. My brothers mate (who rents at my house) has parents in bangkok so im gunna see if i can get a huge pile of movies and games sent over. Which would be awesome, other than that only got the local Video Ezy for games.
