Hi,

Im fairly new to PSP, i had a 2.0 until last night when i downgraded to 1.5, and i installed PSP-OSS, all went fine. When i was using PSP-OSS i put in "MediEvil - Resurrection" and click on the UMD picture on the desktop and it loaded. I then when to play it normally but it says i need to update.

This is a good thing, but i was wondering why it allowed me to play it in PSP-OSS ?

PSP-OSS has a firmware tweaker or emulator built into it, when you click the umd icon, it either thinks your psp is higher firmware or it loads a higher firmware which is on the memory stick.

Other programs do this like UMDRun and Joeva says UMD emulator can do it if you set ISO emulation mode to "none"

mph will load certain umds if you have isolation mode set to none in umdemulator
