swap magic 3.6 dvd disc read error

i recently purchased a flip top and swap magic combo. after installing the flip top, i tried to boot up the swap magic 3.6 dvd but i keep getting a disc read error. i've tried cleaning it and nothing seems to work. if i put the dvd in my computer, i can read the files.
the swap magic cd works fine though.
is there any way i can boot dvd backups with the cd version?
or can i somehow get the swap magic cd to boot a copy of the swap magic dvd?
any help would be greatly appreciated.

To use the Swap Magic CD to boot DVD Games Do the Following:

1.Eject the CD tray and insert the Swap Magic CD Disc.
2.Reset your PS2 and wait till Swap Magic loads Up
3.When you see the Swap Magic Screen that saids "Load Game" along with the video settings(Pal or NTSC) eject the PS2 cd tray and take out the Swap Magic CD and and the screen will now say Refresh TOC
4.Now insert a PS2 DVD Original Game(Silver Bottom) With a High TOC(check your ps2 games on the computer and see which is the biggest game you have in size)
4.after it goes back to the Swap Magic Screen Open the PS2 Flip Top Cover and insert the DVD Backup, After This The screen should turn red and the game will start.

can you please explain more about how to work steps 3 and on, i get to the point of the cd screen loaded and i got to eject the cd(in other words, open the cd tray and not the flip top, and then put the HIGH TOC DVD orginal ina nd then what do i do, do i close the hold lid and then wait for it to spin up, when it does though it doeesn't spin down, it just tells me it is not a valid ps2 disc, then i take it out, even though it is spinning, and insert the backup of a game, and then hit X and it does nothing, what am i doing wrong, plz help, ty vm.

i have tried call of duty, and one of the epsn football games, once i close the complete top of the system with the silver HIGH TOC game in it should it spin up and say what? just go back to the swap disc screen with no message and then DVD should stop, or should it stay spinning? Thanks a bunch

It should stop spinning on its own, then take out the swap disk and insert your backup, or copy. Leave the lid open, that seems to work for me. Bobby.

make sure you press the eject button to open the tray.
insert high toc game.
press eject button to close tray.
the screen will display "refreshing toc" while it reads the disc.
after a couple of seconds the screen should now say "insert your own program disc" or something like that.
now you open the flip top, remove the high toc disc and replace it with the backup.
close the flip top and press x.
