Ok heres what to do
1.Make dummys of all the _w.xmv files(rightclick ,new txt file, name the same as the file you are dummying) eg. death.xmv
2.Delete all the original _w.xmv files and replace with your dummys.
3.Build your iso with craxion or quix
4.Burn with dvd decrypter or another dvd.iso burning software.
5.play
The .xmv files in TRL are of bonus videos after you finish the game. there are 2 versions of each a widescreen one and a normal one. We are deleteing the widescreen ones, if you want the widescreen one still just dummy the normal one .eg death.xmv(standard tv) death_w.xmv(widescreen)

I kept the widescreen files and dummied the standard TV ones.
That still only makes it 4.59GB from original size 4.67GB. That is still not small enough to fit on a DVD-5 !

12229psp, I tried that but the file is still too big to fit on a DVD5. EVen without the dummy files or the xmv files at all, it's clocking in at 4.52GB, and I guess I have to get it under 4.4?? Nero won't let me burn it.

DVD-5 is an acronym that means a DVD disc that is one-sided single-layer disc and can contain upto 4.38 gigabytes of data on it.
DVD disc manufacturers love to use marketing terms and sell their discs as 4.7GB discs, but this is not true -- the 4.7GB is calculated by using so-called "Japanese gigabytes", where the power of calculations is 1,000 instead of 1,024 (and 1.024 is the correct way to calculate everything in computer world -- so, 1024 megabytes == 1 gigabyte).

This works as well
use qwix to make the iso of the files and folders from your pc, but make sure you tick automatically cross-link identical files in qwix
use Nero 7 to burn the iso and set overburning on in the options menu

What does 'automatically cross-link identical files' actually do?
I'm sure there must be another way I have never had to over burn an Xbox game (that?s including Halo 2). Thanks for the help though

well i copied a game thats was 4.6 gig onto a verbatim 4.7 gb and that worked hmmmm

What automatically cross-link identical files does is e.g. say that their is 2 or more identical videos files on the game disc, instead of copying the videos twice it copies it once and creates a link to tell the default.xbe where to find it, sort of like creating a shortcut on the pc desktop
Also depending on what DVD media you are using you may not need to set the overburning

hey ive tried all that and the file fits on a DVD5,dummying the files,deleting them,cross linking them to get them to fit on the dvd..they fit yeah,about 4.3Gb but my xbox doesnt read the discs when i burn them

Ummm... isn't the original a DVD-5?
Why would there be any trouble backing up a DVD-5 to DVD-5?
Shouldn't it fit already, since that's where it came from?
I don't get this thread.
Hdloader/hdadvance can't do DVD-9, yet this game works perfectly fine with it (with the exception of PDA lockups), and the game size is only around 2.9G on the hard drive.
You shouldn't have to delete or shrink anything. Of course, I'm commenting on the PS2 US version. Other versions might be larger.

You need to use better quality dvd-r's
try using ones that use the ritek dye
