Have you tried DVD Decrypter to burn the image ?

I can't see any real reason as to why it wouldn't play though from the log supplied.

I haven't tried DVD Decrypter, but I have used DVDFab Decrypter. I've burned about nine disks with different results. Sometimes, I can see the files on the disk and play them one at a time, but only on my laptop. Half the time, they won't even play on the laptop. I keep getting a message to insert a disk in the drive when it's already in the drive. One time I did manage to get 10 minutes of three chapters burned to the disk and it would play on my DVD players. This was using InterVideo WinDVD but I haven't been able to do that again. And I don;t know why only ten minutes recorded unless it's a demo program. So far, I haven't found anyone who could solve the problem, so I'm about ready to throw in the towel.

Have you tried another brand of media, these are 16x disks maybe your burner is just not able to handle this media.

Well, as I mentioned, I did manage to burn about 10 minutes of a DVD and I was actually able to play it back on both my laptop and my DVD player. I had used some freebie program. It took all night to rip the disk to the hard drive, so i deleted that program. At least I know it is possible to record on these Memorex dscs.

Can a DVD-RW be played on newer DVD players? I thought I might try one of those to avoid wasting so many discs. By the way, I'm using a new Toshiba Satellite laptop, and it's supposed to burn both -R and +R.

Some newer players support RW, mine does. Check the spces though, not all do. You've got a couple of things going against you. You're using a drive known for having a lot of problems with burning. Your media choice could be better. Though in this case the Memorex is Ritek and not the CMC that has caused Memorex's bad rep. At least according to your log. Try one of the name brands with Made in Japan on the label. There's other good media, but these are easier to locate on the shelves. Sony +R MIJ or Taiwan is okay. Try the better media. Even if it isn't the problem, it's still something you can use.
