My Daughter owns a PSP and today I tried to charge it for her but it wouldn't charge, so I ran the battery right down then tried AGAIN to charge it, but it doesn't respond, no light NOTHING. Could it be the adapter or the battery or have I done something wrong? She got it 3 weeks ago for her Birthday. Thanks in advance.

do you kno anyone in the area with an ac adapter or usb charger?
if so you try and charge your psp with their charger. if it doesn't work, then your psp is to blame and you will most likely need to return it to sony and get a new one. if it does charge then you just need to go to the store and get yourself a new charger.

The PSP was working fine until the battery ran out so hopefully it is the charger, Thanks for your quick reply.

no prob, for the record my ac adapter(the one that came with the psp) stopped working about 2 weeks after i got my psp,just wouldnt charge it. so it could be the charger.
Now if you tried to put another charger in the psp that isnt a psp branded charger you could have damaged the psp, and it wont ever be able to charge, which is why i said you might have to get a new one.
but hopefully that wont be the case and you can get your new charger and have your psp up and running like normal

Do you know how much a new charger would be? and no I have not put a non branded psp charger in the psp, I am not that silly lol
