Hi,

When i play a streaming avi videofile in mediaplayer it sometimes appears in the temp directory as a .dat that can't immidiatly be stolen.

I have been told it is possible to convert it to avi again without media player in this way:

1.) I burn the dat file on a disc with nero / roxio.
2.) Then i use isobuster > right click > extract but filter only m2f2 mpeg frames A new dat file has been made on my disk. They look a lot alike but seem to differ a lot.
3.)
Then i open the wonder program River Past Video Cleaner Pro but i don't get it on with. Now there are a lot of versions of this software and I know i might use a misversion but i don't excarly what versions i need and i tried too many.

Could someone please help me out on this one?
Is there another trick to use mediaplayer files?

Kind regards,
Martijn Fransen

Hi,

First of all i want to thank you for your quick response. The VCD gear is a fancy piece of software.

This is what happened:

WARNING: specified DAT file as an invalid XA header sigature.

The file was created by mediaplayer and i took it form the temporary files directory. I am planning to make a video collective like www.woostercollective.com.

How can i convert these dat files?

Kind regards,
Martijn Fransen
