alright, as in my previous thread, im very new to this, although i did manage to figure out my last problem, that was only one step on the staircase. ive been reading all day and i cannot find any good information on the software i would need to make copies of movies, or any instructions on how to go about making the copy. all i know is that i need some programs taht will decrypt? it and then i have to rip it to my harddrive, then copy it to a DVD. i really dont know any details and have had a really hard time trying to find any. if anyone knows of any good sites or would like to let me know what i need to go about doin, please let me know. its really starting to frustrate me. one questions before i go not related at all, what is the difference between DVD9 and DVD5?

thanks a lot

You can get the DVD Shrink download and guides. Once installed you can find more guide references under Help on the toolbar. The links are still good. There's also a bunch of other software and guides listed at the link above.

For decryption, use AnyDVD + DVD Decrypter for best over all results. Read how it works at the website. http://www.slysoft.com? While there note the History link. Read the instructions for using DVD Decrypter listed in the log under the 5.9.1.1 version. Download and use the free trial to see if you want it. DVD Decrypter is listed at the digital digest site.

That should keep you busy for a while. Just follow the directions and try a backup. Then if you have specific questions, fell free to ask.

Good choice if you don't mind paying for it when the trial is up. They're good software. The AnyDVD is definitely worth the price and most everyone is singing the praises of the app. As a learning process, learn how to use Rebuilder. You can play with the free version and the HC encoder till you decide whether you'd like the Pro and CCE. You may not know what I'm talking about, so check out the Rebuilder forum.
