What is the maximum capacity of a DVD? With overburn? Also what is the maximum data can you fit on a 80min/700MB CD-R? With overburn?

One more question, does any of the maximum capacities vary with different burners?

single layer DVDRs are 4.7GB unformatted, so you can only fit ~4.5 GB. Dual Layer DVDRs can hold ~8.5GB I beleive.

I have been able to burn 750MB using overburn in Nero. If you need to fit more data on a CDR, they do make 90 min/800MB CDRs. you can find them at allmediaoutlet.com

For the best quality mp3s use EAC (exact audio copy) to rip your audio CDs and LAME to encode them. Follow this guide:
