just bought swap magic 3.6 and i'm using a tape and tissue mod.the problem is the games work fine at first but even with a fan on my slimline the thing still gets really hot.The hotter the system gets the slower the game loads.eventually, the game moves really really slowly but never freezes.I take off the ps2 and let it cool and then the games work perfectly again.the swap magic packet says no additional stress on the lens but i highly doubt that for some reason.Oh and the games are burnt on verbatim dvd-r blanks. Can this lead to burning out my fragile slimline lens ? if i start loading games from a usb hd will that really mean much or is this just a problem with my slim's cooling system?

swap magic wont put any extra stress neither should the verbatim discs I think your ps2 maybe faulty and is overheating all by its self try using an original disk see if you encouter the same problem if so return it if its still under warranty

I have similar problems (schp75001) it crashed with an original for the first time the other day. I put my slim on it side as the lid is open and it balances ok, to let more air flow around it. They are tempermental these slims, I just hope mt laser goes completely as I have 9 mths left on its warranty.

I have a few questions for you guys, so here goes:
- Where can I get a free copy of Swap Magic 3.0 or above?
- I recently downloaded Swap Magic online & it said 20 mega bytes
but what should be the correct number of mega bytes for the
program itself?

Please reply to me ASAP. This is an S.O.S. Peace out yall.

Downloadind a copy won't do anything for you unless you have a previous edition (originally pressed) to boot it up with. Otherwise, you're just going to have to buy it.
