Hahaha, so that's who took my nick!

Ok, lemme get this straight: After I use DVD Decrypter and IFO edit to split the DVD into 2, and I am setting up the folders to burn on the DVD±R/RW,I ABSOLUTELY have to have that double-damn "AUDIO_TS" folder or the thing will not play?

Cos I swear I have seen older DVD's that did not have that folder, and they played. But I could be wrong.

Anyway, I'll usually let a DVD sit on my hard drive for a month or so before I decide to keep it, if ya wanna watch it, just drag the first VOB file into PowerDVD, or other such player.

My new motto for watching moovies however, is "download-watch-delete"

:p :)

Baabaa:

Aha I was right, that folder is like an appendix, it is there but not necessary. Gronk, ok.

DVD2one, eh?

Ok, I'll try it, sounds easier than using IFOedit.

I am able to play a DVD+RW on my computer automatically even using the menu, but this DVD is not recognized in my Sony DVD player which is supposed to play DVD+RW media. Do I have to finalize the DVD+RW to make it play in a standalone DVD player?

I just copied the VIDEO_TS and empty AUDIO_TS folders to a DVD+R using Roxio Easy Creator 5, copying data files. This disc works on my computer, but does not work in my Sony DVD player. It could not read the disc and said the DVD was dirty.

My copy of Nero was not able to find my DVD writer, so I updated Nero from their web site. After I upgraded Nero and tried to find my DVD writer, I got a message saying that version of Nero only worked with DVD writers bundled with that version of Nero programs.

Well, you seem to be doing everything OK now. Next step is to either try another type of media (a different brand.)

Or try the disc in a friend's player. Preferably a different model but still newer.

If you grab .IFO that is 2 above selcted .VOB's in Smartripper then DVD2One will make the .BUP file (s) needed itself

IFOedit is NOT needed : )
