I was using my PS2 a few days ago and I tried to install Magic Switch, and after 30 minutes found out that it was not compatible with my PS2 Model. So I removed the 2 tools that fit in and now everything runs as normal except when I close the disc thing to read my game I hear a strange noise and then it boots up.

Anyone know how this happened and how to get rid of it?

probably ure laser.That will teach u to make sure that is what u want.

yip wil prob b the laser have you removed the peice that goes on the disk break. if its still booting then it should b the least of your worries thank god it still works lol

Hmm. Thanks for the replies.

Is my PS2 under any danger or anything? Will it break sometime soon? Everything works perfectly on there and the sound comes from where the lens thing moves up and down at bootup, found that out after getting my new tool things for my model.
