I've read a lot of topics on this site now and also on other pages.

The fact that the PSP 2.01+ isn't possible to downgrade today has been statuated a lot of times. This is NOT what I want my topic to discuss/to give an answer to...

Today I bought a PSP with version 2.6 and therefore this topic interests me a lot.

So; will the PSP 2.01+ ever be possible to downgrade and will the version 2.01 be possible to downgrade before 2.6 because it is easier to "unlock" that version of the firmware?

Thanks in advance ;-)

One day, it may be possible, but not in the near future. Iv heard rumours that people have partially hacked 2.01+. Whether this is true or not i dont know. It would be great if they could be hacked but i dont see it happening soon.

Its less likely that they will ever release a downgrader for anything above 2.0.

Its MORE likely that they will discover more exploits that work with firmwares higher than 2.0 They are ever so close right now with all the GTA loaders out there.

I wouldn't count on a firmware downgrader. Your best bet would be to take your psp back and get your money back. I would buy a used one at GAmestop. they have a ton of them that are 2.0 or less. Or go on ebay, you'll find a lot on there too.
