I am planning on buying Swap Magic to play PS2 backups. I have a few questions.
1. Is slide tool the best to use if you don't want the warranty to be screwed?
2.Can Swap Magic play backups of imports (Japan, Europe, etc.)?
3. Will Swap Magic load the backup if the iso file is ripped directly from the game disc?
4. Where is the best place to find Swap Magic for a reasonable price?
5. Is the DVD Decrypter method the best method to burn the backups?

ill anwser your questions in the same form you asked em.
1-)Yeah. Only other method for chubby Ps2 is Fliptop and that will void your warrenty, you need to take off half the ps2 hehe. umm im assuming you have a fat ps2 ad not a slim right? cause there are other methods for a slim
2-)Yes, Swap Magic can play imports i believe. i think you can change it from NTSC to PAL and vice versa. im gonna have to double check that one tho.
3-)Yes it can, just rip with DVD Decrypter.
4-)Umm. depending on where you live there are a lot of good sites.

Not quite sure ill have to look around, ill edit when i find some.
5-) Yeah, its the easiest way, i think you can use Nero Burning ROM and Alchohol 120%.

Thanks, yes your post did help. Another question popped up in my mind. Does it matter what DVD media I use? Becaus the disvs I currently use do not have the company names on them.
Edit: Yes I do have the chubby PS2 model.
Edit2: Do you know if any of the sites mentioned above accept PayPal.

umm media does matter, i still have some cheap brand media, but when i get into burning games i will get better media, it will help to get -R, they are better on your lens i think. i just know that DVD-R are better lol. but some good names are Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim, there are more on this thread. i suggest getting some on the 1st or second list.

Every thing except the boot method will be the same.
And just to clarify, you will want to get 8X DVD's. They have the best success rate.

I have a few questions for you guys, so here goes:
- Where can I get a free copy of Swap Magic 3.0 or above?
- I recently downloaded Swap Magic online & it said 20 mega bytes
but what should be the correct number of mega bytes for the
program itself?

Swap Magic cant be downloaded and burned it has to be an original. A burned copy of SM would work exactly the same as a burnt game, it doesnt load.

umm, you cant get a free version, pay, its only 20 $. There is a couple ways to get a free version
1. Rob the company you wanna buy from
2. Find someone with swap magic and steal it from them.
3. Check the black market, call up your good friend pepsimaxx who is good friends with Meatloaf who is good friends with Snow White, who knows Pennywise the dancing clown(from movie IT) who is good pals with Porky Pig who knows David Bowie who lives with Elton John who knows Buffy the Vampire Slayers cousin Johnny tightlips to talk to Jimmy The Squealer to get into there and tell the guy running the place that his breath smells while the rest of his mafioso buddies can raid the place :D
4. GET A JOB! hehe just kidding. if you do any of the above, its not my fault ;)
And i dunno how many times people are gonna ask this.... YOU CANNOT DOWNLOAD SWAP MAGIC!! ARG you can download swap magic, prolly about 2 gigs. then burn it onto a DVD waste one of your good x8 Verbatims, then pop it into your Ps2 and say HEY! im gonna need Swap Magic to boot this Backup of Swap Magic!! OUCH!! so got it ?? good.
