i have dvd decrypter ver 3.5.4
i use it to do all my other movies i borrow from my buddies at work. i only had one problem with another movie, but cant rememebr what it was. but anyways. i decrypted dick and jane, and it was all good. i then used nero 7 recode, to shrink it, and it starts up, but within 10 seconds it says "failed to read from the file %s"
i use this method on my other movies, and it works fine. i am about to try a different recoder, and see if that fixes it, but if anyone knows why this happend, i would appreciate it.

can you please try to download AnyDVD? www.slysoft.com its free for 21 days and you wont be charged upfront or at all unless you want to keep it.
i have fun with dic and jane but my andvd is kinda old so i want to determie if its the copy protection based or not...
my free 21 days are over so no free updates..

theres always cracked versions.......
my net is a little slow, but i am d/ling AnyDVD at the moment.

yea i know 5.7.2.1 is my current ver of AnyDVD and clonedvd2 is 2.8.5.1 i belive. so they are a bit outdated but im just wondering if this has to be with the new updates from slysoft.com

i am faily new with burning and stuff, but am pretty familiar with comps.
but i have bearshare, which is a community file share, its kinda like limewire, but i like the interface of bearshare. it actully shares with limewire i believe. its pretty nice. that how i got Nero 7, full edition. i also get a lot of other full apps, not to mention a ton of porn. yea, i'm a bad guy. but hey, why buy it, when you can d/l it, watch it a couple times, delete it,and get something new....

why would you do that; thats cheating and taking away from a good company i actually paid and own all four programs plus the fifth virtual drive give them the money it pays off and you back in the long run!

(dredoggem) the movie fun with dick and jane will work if you have the latest versions of the right software. my self i use shrink and dvd region + css free running in the backround. went through this movvie with no problems , one thing we do talk about here is backing up the movies that we own not the one"s that we get from our friends or buddies.also if you start talking about cracked versions of software you could get banned from this site, you might want to read the rules about posting in the forums just thought i would give you a heads up on that, good luck and happy burnning.

it was the version... despiate of being old it handle all my 1,000 + store bought dvds and i was glad and no longer am i going to d/l for free. the folks on slysoft deserve every frekin penny!!!!... for less tehn $30 bucks a peaice of each software its all good ... bundled with clonedvd2 total $60 ... never been happer i just bought it today 5.9.5.3 and slysoft just send a new updates from 5.3 to 5.6 and in less then 60 secs i get a new one free for life... its worth it people!...

Yeah, you can tell the types which members were involved in this thread lol.
1- Don't ever mention cracked, patched, or any other form of pirated software here again. It's not only a federal crime to do these things illegally, but it's also against the forum rules to discuss pirated software/titles. For many reasons, we don't want that here.
2- There are plenty of threads already concerning Dick and Jane! Please, for the love of all that is sacred and holy, check those out before starting new threads. Why do you think you're running into errors if you're using antiquated programs? I love Decryptor and Shrink but you need to help it (since it's so damn old) with another program--like AnyDVD. If you don't wanna do that, you're gonna need newer programs like DVDFab or VOBB or CloneDVD.
Latest AnyDVD to rip > VOBB to blank the unwanted on a DVD > Shrink to compress > ImgBurn to burn = Never starting a thread asking how to backup a movie
