I have just aquired another xbox and softmodded it with the 4.5 knarve version( or something like that) and i chose the open tray = retail install. I then boot up my box by pressing the eject button and it boots up to the M$ dashboard like tis supposed to, but when ever i go to network settigns or xbox live screen it just goes blank (a black screen) with the little green circle thing at the bottom. This has happened on about 5 installs now so I am wondering how to fix this problem.
A bit more info, when i boot it up normally and it goes to the evox dash, i can then select M$ dash from the menu, that loads up fine and I can then enter the network settings screen fine,but I dont want to go on live with the soft mod enabled incase I get banned.

Any ideas why this happens?

modifying content of any kind even if it doesn't help u will get u banned. bungie just doesn't want u cheating online. if u want to mod for custom games just make a new accont just for custom games modding, that's what i did and unmod ur xbox when u want to play legit

I dont want to cheat online, cheaters suck!! i just want the soft mod to work how it is supposed to. according to the guide, when i boot up the box with the eject button i should be able to go online but i cant, just wondered why.
