Wireless Game Adapters work great,
They act as a Access Point Via USB.

* Lag-free head-to-head or Internet gaming at up to 54Mbps, without stringing wires
* Converts wired-Ethernet-ready game consoles to Wireless-G (draft 802.11g) network connectivity
* Works without drivers on PlayStation®2, Xbox?, and GameCube?
* Also connects to Wireless-B (802.11b) networks at 11Mbps

The Wireless-G Game Adapter gives any wired Ethernet-equipped game console wireless connection capabilities. The Game Adapter can be used in two different ways. If you have an existing home wireless network and a cable or DSL Internet connection, the Game Adapter lets your PlayStation®2, Xbox? or GameCube? attach to the network so you can get into online games without running wires to the game room. Or, use a pair of Game Adapters to form a "cable-less cable" between two game consoles for head-to-head gaming -- in the same room, or all the way across the house.

If you mean you want to use Wireless for your PS2 online, there is no way right now of doing that, I've heard that is a feature for the Xbox 360 and the PS3

PS2 Slimline + Swap Magic + Fan
PS3 60gb Version 1.90
PSP 3.52 M33 EUR Black Version + Logitech Hard Case + Logitech 3 Sound Speakers + 2gb Sony Memory Stick
Nintendo Wii + 3 Wii&Nunchuck Controllers
NDS Original + M3 Simply + 1gb Kingston MicroSD
NDS Lite + M3 Simply + 2gb Sandisk MicroSD

I think running a cord would be cheaper, but I guess if your PS2 is on a second floor and your computer is in the basement then it would be alot easier and cheaper than running a cord.

yes you can buy a linksys adapter as long as its a 802.11g/b or depending what your router is. but as far as im aware there are no wireless adapters for the ps2 to allow stream connections between your router and ps2 a network cable is required

Yes they should work.
You would have to have a wireless router of course.
Then you just plug the wireless adapter into the eithernet port
on the PS2, and set up any settings needed on th PC/router
so that you can make a connection.
