I'm running around in these forums and I'm starting to understand some things but are still confused about many.

1) I have fastloader and have a bunch of ISO games that were once RAR files that had to be unzipped. Played them, beat many, bored of many, and now I'm looking for more.

2) Fastloader enables the PSP to play ISO games on the PSP--what are its other capabilities? I ran into a different thread where it was saying that Fastloader can "dump" the UMD onto your memory stick--is this true? Exactly how does it work?

3) Torrent files--supposedly easy to do but it hasn't been working for me--I'll download a torrent file then try to open it with Azureus (as told to me) but I'm running into many problems:

oops...I'm running into many problems:
a) It's taking forever
b) I'll get it downloaded, it becomes an RAR file, but then I can unzip it.
c) I'll get it downloaded, either the files aren't ISO or they're instructions in Spanish or I'll get five or six files of something strange.

HELP???

Download some more!

2) Fastloader enables the PSP to play ISO games on the PSP--what are its other capabilities? I ran into a different thread where it was saying that Fastloader can "dump" the UMD onto your memory stick--is this true? Exactly how does it work?

You can put loads of homebrews on your 1.5 like Solitaire, Doom, Sudoku and many more, And you can dump the contents of the umd into a ISO, when you open Fastloader, it would say, Dump Inserted UMD in the bottom.

3) Torrent files--supposedly easy to do but it hasn't been working for me--I'll download a torrent file then try to open it with Azureus (as told to me) but I'm running into many problems:

Make sure you opened all the ports. Try using this P2p program called Bitcomet (www.bitcomet.com)

b) I'll get it downloaded, it becomes an RAR file, but then I can unzip it.
You have to download this program called WinRAR (winrar.com)

c) I'll get it downloaded, either the files aren't ISO or they're instructions in Spanish or I'll get five or six files of something strange.

If there like .001, .002, .003, Open it up with WinRAR and Extract the ISO and it should extract the full ISO. If it isn't a ISO, what is the format?

if you want to play more isos you are going to need these two loaders
http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/92
http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/348

this should help you with the dumping of umds
http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/283828

this should help you with winrar
http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/207335

and this should help you with the torrenting questions

alright, so i just downloaded Street Fighter Alpha with bitcomet...i got the RAR file and then downloaded WinRAR--it extracted it. It works a lot different from what I'm used to...I used to get files then extract with WinAce and would get the ISO file. It didn't happen this way--I got a PSP Alpha Folder with three folders inside of it:
a)PSP
b)SFALPHA 3
c) x

along with some Spanish instructions and something else. How do I get this to load or where to I put it on my memory stick and do I need any additional programs besides Fastloader for it to work such as an emulator or mphloader? Thanks.

danku you just take those three files and drop it in your root folder and press yes to all..
root folder is where your psp, mp_root, folders are.. you drag and drop all three folders in your root and then go to your memory stick and boot up street fighta alpha and you should be good to go...

bombay
hes on a little vacation, because he was asked to change his sig and he didn't change the size.

does the memory card have to be formatted or just the fastloader program in the memory card?

Call me slow...call me dumb but I'm new at this:
Root folder? Now, where exactly is that? Is there a folder in the memory card called "root folder"? or mp-root folder? Sorry.

One thing though...what's the best way to shut off the PSP now? With Fastloader, I can quit the game and it will go back to the home screen BUT it freezes up when I quit--am I missing something?

If there's no harm...then I'm cool with it. Thanks! Am I able to add another game using this method or only one game at a time?
