I've been doing some reading on alot of thread. I know i'm prolly gonna get flamed by alotta you but i had a question. If you did the cardboard/straw mod...would you be able to launch burnt ps2 CD's from a burnt copy of Swap Magic? If so, what version would i need. I live in Washington, and i dont know where to go to get the swap magic disk. I would rather just pick it up somewhere than wait for it in the mail from the internet. Thanks in advance.

you can't use a backup of swap magic it WILL NOT WORK in the PS2 you need to buy it from the internet, and then you can boot backups.

Hi don't know how it is in America for delivery times but I buy everything on the internet and I usually get things delivered 1 to 2 days tops, was one week once but only once.

which version of swap magic should i pick up? Mine is a slimline version with Model number: SCPH-75001 on the bottom. I appreciate the help.

You'll want either SM 3.6 or Coder 3.8 (if you use ARMAX). You will also need to purchase a mod (magic keys, slim tools).
