me and my mate recently backed up 24. Both of us are having the same problem with the disk. At the end of the mission where you run away from the cops as jack (the one after the mission where ou breach the DOD) the game goes to a load skreen and freezes while saving and a blue border of light (about a centimetre)surrounds the skreen. After you reset and try again the data gets corupted. Whats up with it.
We used 16x tdk+r disks and both have over version 9 ps2's.

Some people have problem's with 16x disc.. Other then that, I'm not sure why that is happening.

Did you download it? Their was a early version that had problems. Also try to use a another media DVD+R DVD-R burn at 2X etc.

gnie, i have looked at that for the last 3 hours and i got all those tools but it dont make sense to me.... And how do you use "using sonix pssdown v1.01 downsampler (use 50%) all the .pss files " i got no clue...
???

run pssdown v1.01,change the downsample rate 50%,also option overwrite
original file check it
then goto your @MOVIES_0.GROUP.TOC folder select all the .pss files
then drag and drop to pssdown tool,then click go,untill you will see the message done.

ok heres an update..... while im using pss downsampler im getting an error message that says...."unrocognized data in sound stream" whats up with that?? thx
And another error "input audio file not found or cannot be accessed" whats that mean?
???

Im sorry i wont be able to do that dont have the gear. Have you seen these errors b4? have you looked at your private messages gnie? That would be a better solution as i mentioned in the private message..

ok fairenuff... using the method you've stated is that to make it 1 dvd without the problems of that black/blue screen halfway through? i really need to back this game up,is there any chance of putting up screen shots of the exact method you used using all the tools you've mentioned? you dont have to put up how to burn,cos i know how to do that.. thanx heaps for ur help gnie !

gnie, I'm the mate he mentioned, we used that guide to rebuild the ISO. I burned it at 4x with one of them and 8x with the other, both are having the same problem. I have never had a single problem with these DVD's untill now, so I don't think the media is the problem. What are the chances of having 2 bad records in a row, after a totally clear run with these DVD's?
