Hey guys!
First of all sorry for my poor english...
Well I bought my PS2 and mod it with a Mars Mod yesterday.. the thing is I bought also a memory card a MadCatz 8x but it seems its for PS1 :-( so it sucks, I cannot use it in my PS2 with PS2 games...
My question is: is there any other way to save games, like on a USB PenDrive? or something.. I read all about this, and it seems I need a PS2 Memory Card first but I can't afford it anymore (I spend all my money)
The 2 posts before me are both incorrect.
You can put the ps1 mem card in the ps2, you however can not use the saves on it on your ps2. What this can be used for is to move them over to a ps2 mem card to save them for later, as the ps2's file tables make better usage of the space on the card, you can save multiple ps1 mem cards on to 1 ps2 card.
As for the USB key, yes you can...but you will first need Max Drive wich you can get on http://www.codejunkies.com for like $30.00. then you can use any USB jump drive on your PS2.
YOu can't use the USB drive directly to save your PS2 game saves... you can only do it when you are NOT playing the game, i.e. you have to run AR to save the game saves to a USB drive.
As for the PS1 memory card, what we (I'm sure steimy will agree) meant is that you need a PS2 memory card to save PS2 game saves, not that you can't use PS1 memory cards on a PS2. In fact when you play PS1 games on a PS2, you need to use a PS1 memory card to save the game saves.
I'm pretty sure there is a universal (well at least in PC to PS2 terms) USB Jumpdrive that you can use for saves. I believe it was something made by Action Replay, I'm not sure of the other features though, probably just connects to the PC to update for cheats.
