i was burning fine then i move shrink out of low priority mode now i get a burn error three out of four tries and before you say crap media i normally use verbatim but got sick of getting a coaster out of it ive tried evry speed but nothing seems to help am i missing a firmware update or what thanks

Took a quick look at the log and it looks pretty much ok.
Your version of Nero is ok.
Your burner's firmware is up to date.
Try this:
Here
Last possible write address on media: 2295103 (510:01.28, 4482MB)
Last address to be written: 2286143 (508:01.68, 4465MB)
You maybe burning too close to the disk's outer edge, so have shrink or nero's recode create smaller file sizes. In shrink goto: edit-->preferences, in the preferences tab choose custom from the dropdown menu and enter a value of 4300.

8X is ok, but try slowing it down to 4x and see if it helps after making the above change in file size.

Nero does not seem to be recognizing your media, try as john123 suggested a slower speed or better media.

It is seeing the disk but you are getting a Power Calibration error. When the burner is running the Calib. test the disk is failing. It could be that disk or the burner might be having problems

The disk does seem to be recognized and the info is again reflected/shown in the Media Specific field, this would suggest the the burner does contain in it's firmware the correct write strategy for those disks and therefore should be able to correcly write to them.

i have good media verbatim is my norm but it just waste them so i using these cheap phillips to try o get rid of the problem i have tried every speed from 2.5x clear up to 16x with no difference heres one with the verbatim and the 4300 size that was suggested

It failed the Calibration test and that is why it would not write the DVD even if it recog. the disk

I've seen this happen because DMA mode wasn't enabled, but all of your devices show as enabled. If it's not a media problem, or a write speed problem, there may be a problem with the drive itself.
Have you tried Car.Mike's suggestions?
And slow it down to 4x, 6x may still be too fast.

its from an autoburn i only changed the speed and the size setiings as suggested burned fine yestarday then it just started this crap

Try a manual burn and see if it does the same thing. Or instead of using Shrink, you can try Nero Recode and see if it works.

i tried burning with the mad dog and reading with the sony and everything went as normal but it wont work the other way for some reason
