Hey guys, I have an Epson R220 and I always use the included Epson software when printing onto discs. My question is this..you know how you can stretch an image outwards, like to get it to go all the way out to the black line circle so it prints all the way to the edge of the disc. Well is there a way to stretch the center part inward? I am asking because I found some labels that were either scanned or custom made, and the labels have the inner circle cut out (not full face) so when I put the image on there the inner circle comes out too far, so if I were to print it, I would have white around the middle. I hope that explains it well enough. If anyone has any input or suggestion on how to get around this, please let me know, thanks!

grumlenz..........
Open the Epson Print CD software. On the left side of the window, there is a yellow or gold colored disc image. That is the "Set Inner/Outer Diameter" icon. Click on it. In the small window that pops up, make sure that "Custom CD" is chosen.

Set outer diameter size to 118mm, for all discs.
Set Inner Diameter size to 18-20mm, for "Print to Center" discs.
Set Inner Diameter size to 33mm, for "Print to Hub" discs.

The Outer Diameter will stay about the same for ALL discs.
The Inner Diameter may vary a little, depending on the brand of disc you're printing. But, the numbers above will put you within a millimeter, or two, to start.
Those are the settings for the Maxells and FujiFilm discs, that I've used.

Notice........ as you change the Inner Diameter settings, the circle in the center of the template, changes size. :o)
Good luck! Let us know how it goes?

JVC, thank you for that. I may have misworded my question, it's a little hard to explain. I have those settings set correctly as you have suggested. What I was meaning is for example when I find a label online to print onto the disc, and the actual label has the circle in the center cut out..so when I load that image into the pirnt software, the circle in the image goes beyond the black inner circle (toward the outside of the disc) too far so that if I were to print it, the white/blank part would show up at the very center of the disc. It's hard to explain. You know how you have those 4 points on the outside where you can "stretch" the image..well what I am basically wondering is if there's a way to get those on the inner circle and to stretch the image in more towards the center. I am using hub printables and have my inner set to 20 which prints perfectly when I have a label that is full, but sometimes I can only find a scan or something and they have that inner circle cut out. I hope that explains it it's confusing. If not I can try and get some pics so it's easier to see what I'm talking about. Thanks for the help!

You've got to find the correct label size before you d/l them.

A lot of the disc covers will have pics of: Full hub/reg hub/and some have no hub at all which is what I prefer.

Covers.to had a very good assortment of these different disc pics, but have been down for 2 weeks and counting. For my full hubs,I always downloaded the pics of the covers that didn't have any holes in them.

For those regular hubs, I've been using shiny inkjet printable tys-which are reg hub,and they look great. They do look better than my full hub white inkjet printables.

As far as stretching a reg hub pic to full hub?

I haven't seen anything about that, but my photo editing skills are weak, LOL. I only use epson printcd software.

PM me if you need a certain title for the full hub. I have a ton of them in my folder and may have the one you need?

Ok.......... I think I understand now.
The original dvd had the label printed to the hub (larger inner circle), and you would rather it had been printed to the center (small inner circle), because you're using "print to center" blanks, and the original label doesn't go to the center, and it's leaving about 1/2" wide white circle, around the center?

There's nothing I know of, that stretches the center of the original, to the smaller center hole. Even if you could stretch it, it would be distorted, since the original didn't support it.

Do like I do. Buy some of both kinds of blanks ("print to hub" and "print to center"), and use whichever one matches the original. Only other option is to do like saugmon suggests.
Good luck! Sorry I couldn't help more.

Anyone know where to get the latest version of epson print CD for the R800? Mine sometimes messes up on text even though I've run the cleaning and tests and the print outs come out fine.

Thanks

Thank you JVC and Saugmon. You both helped answer my question, I was basically just wondering if I could be done. I never thought that even if it could, it would distort the image. Thanks guys! I use generetic for mine and will go back to using hirescovers as well when their gallery opens back up.

It's true what saugmon said.

I know exactly what grumlenz is explaining.

Try to find & download a custom version of the disc.
They usually do NOT have the center ring, in the middle.

It wouldnt be distorted at all. You can stretch the outer and it doesnt distort. I know exactly what your talking about when you stretch the outer to come all th way to the edge of the disc you get a little white band around the inside. A program that lets you move the inside edge would be very handy!

I, myself is a huge fan of covers.to too.
Tried several different web sites but can't compare to them.
They've been closed for more than 3 weeks and I'm afraid that they are suht down for good. Do you have any idea that they are going to open soon or what?
Because there's no explanation or anything.

I tried to get on there yesterday and turned up squat!

I still have yet to find another site that is as simple/wide assortment of labels-covers/and free.

It's not looking good. Some other cover sites went down last year and never returned. That's probably what covers.to is doing, UGGH!

I just did The greatest game ever played and put it on lightscribe. I downloaded it from here:

http://forums.freecovers.net/index.php?

It's free to sign up.I don't know if you have to or not to download covers. This is one of the few covers I got from there.

Here's my main site now:
http://www.cdcovers.cc/

Here's some more,if they are still working?

They revamped customcdlabels.com

It use to be simple, but low resolution quality and not many jacket covers. They were always there when covers.to didn't have what I was looking for.

I have an Epson Stylus photo R220. I have used the Print CD with great success until recently, when it developed a flaw. While setting up a label in Print CD, the electricity went out. When the power came back on and I tried to use Print CD, I found my problem. When I tried to import a picture from My Documents, I got an error message "Epson Print CD has encountered a problem and needs to close." and the program shuts down. Importing pictures from other folders was OK. I uninstalled and reinstalled the software but have the same problem.
