Have you got any mechassault saves of any kind already on the xbox,,,if so get rid of them....including the folder..delete everything mechassault from the saves even the saves entry...then copy from the mem card to the xbox harddrive again...It should do something in about 60 seconds or so..
recommendation...all the people with fuxxored softmods have had the mechassault exploit...use Splinter Cell Ndure instead..more stable..and then never delete any files unless you are totally sure what you are doing..and never try to un-install it!!!Consider it permanent, and never try to go to xbox live or allow a live enabled game to try to connect to live...don't go there.
I shouldn't even tell you this..if you have the "classics" version of the game it doesn't work..only the proper original will do...If you didn't know that then you don't know what you are getting involved with!! lol :)
and I'll add...when it goes wrong read up what to do..don't just come crying "it won't boot...gives me error whatever" all you'll get is "told ya so!"

Ok, I deleted all the MechAssault saves from the hardrive, then copied the "Install Linux" saves from the memory card to the hardrive.
When I tried to install it, it did the same thing, just froze.
But, I saw that everytime I loaded the MechAssault game, there is a file called "Mech Warrior" that comes from nowhere, when I look at the files I see that it just appeared.
I don't know if that's the thing ruining the installment or what, or if the save wasn't correct from my Action Replay or what but, I know that it's not working and it's frustrating.
I'm not very familiar with this exploit, but it does seem a bit dodgy..Have you found the right version..pal doesn't work with NTSC etc..
What should happen is when the game loads..you go to the load game screen and pick the only save that is there..goes blank for a minute then a screen with options comes up.....I'll see if I can find a tut for it...Did you download the full package or just the saves...there should be 2 saves..one smallthat looks like a normal xbox save and the other a few meg called something like 00000000..when they copy to the xbox one makes a mechassault save entry caled linux..the other makes a save entry elsewhere also called linux they have to be transferred one at a time to the xbox drive...copy mechassault save...then copy linux save...
Not all thede downloads work..have a couple more tries and then find a different version of the exploit...hope that info is of any help..
Wasn't having a go at you last night..I'm a mod somewhere else and I was getting annoyed with someone over there who was just being a prick.....and it spliied over a bit..sorry :) lol
