ok i have a softmodded xbox and i want to get a 160 GB HDD i found one on a sight and it is pre-formattedhow do i install it and would i have to install the softmod again can some hep me becuz i dont wanna blow off 90 bux and not even no how to install the HDD thanx if u can help me

Hey there, well if u get a HD over 137gigs then u have to get a patch for ur dash. but what u have to do it copy ur c and e drive to ur computer, then open up ur box and put it in and format it, cause u need to format all the partions. now im not sure how it works on a softmod cause mine is hard modded but with mine i could just put in the HD and on my X3 dash i could format it. with a softmod u might have to create and iso disk to install ur dash again. but once ur all done and its in there, copy ur c and e drive from ur old HD and put it into the new one and then ur set to go.
and if ur xbox is softmodded, then how could u have a xecuter chip in it like u wrote in ur sig?

yeah i got a hardmodded xbox to with the front LCD panel and a xecuter 3 CE and its a so easier to do stuff but yeah i think i no wat im doing now thanx

cracker jack im just who you need to talk to i did the same exact thing on my xbox the other day (120gb's though) if you want i can walk you through it and give a piece of software that will make it so easy just let me know aim 'haloboobs' just instant message me
two xbox's stock 1.6 for xboxlive the other a 1.0 softmodded with a 250gb hdd. i have a ps2 with a modchip and a psp thats version 1.5 but i use devhook to emulate 2.71.

oh and 'chipmasta' could i talk to you some time through email or I.M. cause i think you have modded things, that i plan to mod and i wanna see if you could give me pointers please
