Ok, subject says it all. Everytime i close donw my IE6(XP, fresh reinstall) i loose my urls. What settings do i need to change in order to keep them in the address bar/box?

sounds like it's clearing your cookies/history every time you close it. this is really the way to have it, as it helps keep your system clean. if you want certain things at easy access, just bookmark them. however, if you really want to change this, just look at your settings for cookies/history. it should be something like Tools->Internet Options-> i'm not familiar with IE6, but see how long it's set to keep your history. that's under teh General Tab. a bit of a search will help.

While you're in the Internet Options, your Auto-complete function is located in the Content tab. Second section called Personal Information. That's the area of IE that saves what you've typed in for URLs, search engines...information bars, logins...etc, you get the picture.

Typically, to keep your URL information in the address bar's pull down menu, have these options selected:

Web Addresses

If you want usernames/passwords to be saved....well, you'll see the option!

Isn't it just wonderful to have to search 15 different areas of IE to do just a couple of things?

Found out what it was, i have ilSystem Wipe installed and was overlooking a setting and slowed myself down and unchecked it and it stopoped clearing my typed url's. I get in such a hurry and miss the simple things.
