i was screwing with my xbox and deleted the hard drive now i need an eeprom to make a cd for making a new xbox hard drive if anyone could pm me and tell me where to get one if i even can that would be nice.

no you dont need an eeprom you need your eeprom only the eeprom mathced to your xbox motherboard will work....you can hotswap to rebuild the hardrive though here is the tutorial

hotswap will save your xbox. Make sure you see microsoft logo appear under XBOX. Otherwise hotswap will not work. Print this out and read 4-5 times to understand the process.

can i use a usb andapter instead of directly connecting my xbox into my pc for hotswapping

Because xbox hdd is lock and PC will not read it. That is why you need xbox unlock the hdd first, then connect it to PC. That is why it called hotswap.
