Im looking at buying a bigger memory stick and im not sure which one to buy ive read reviews that the sandisk are faster however they have reliability problems but the thing with the sonys is any one that i will buy will probably be fake, whats your opinion?

I would go with sandisk, but warning, some Sandisc disk on ebay are fake also.

i have a sony pro duo 1gb stick (what i got with my giga pack) and a sandisk blue 1gb stick and i thought the sony 1 was alot faster

Lexar also has pro duo now....although I dont own one. I do like Sandisk it is fast but not as fast as the sony high speed... I have four Memory sticks two 1gb and two 2gb my 1gb sandisk is faster then my 1gb sony (transfering 900Mb in files from computer to PSP) my 2gb sandisk is around the same as my 1gb sandisk. Now my 2gb highspeed sony is fast and it only takes about 3/4 the time to transfer the 900Mb in files... I tested all sticks with fresh formats... Yes I had nothing else better to do... as far being reliable sometimes you get lucky sometimes you don't.

Just got a 2GB Sony Pro Duo for £16 + £9.95 postage on Ebay.
Will have to see if the claims of it being "genuine" are true, though the package looked right if the pic was genuine.
Great bargain if it is. Crazy how many 2GB cards are selling on there at the moment.

If its coming from Hong Kong then its most probably a fake, but you never know, maybe someone just wants to get a rid of it?

Fakes still work okay. There is only a small chance that they will go bust. They just dont hold as much as the originals. Speed is probably affected too..
I would go SANDISK.. all the way! I have a Sony 1GB Memory Stick and a SanDisk 1GB Ultra II Memory Stick and it sh*ts all over the Sony one when it comes to transfers and access times.
