Wow, rough crowd. Steimy and ddp, I refer you to a post from a fellow moderator:

C'mon guys, grow up! Seriously, I acknowledged in my post that I myself was unsure if posts selling items were allowed, so a simple, "pcguru83, these type of posts are not allowed" would have sufficed. It's really not necessary to insult the original poster. In addition, what I'm doing could hardly be construed as advertising. You would do this community a service by better wording the forum rules. The way the rules currently read makes it sound as if businesses which sell multiple products (as stated in the rules) are prohibited from "advertising" or attempting to sell their products.

I suppose I should have expected no less from a forum where the average age of most posters is 14 and common responses sound like "OmG uR sUCh a n00b! !@#$ Quite a shame since Afterdawn.com is such an awesome site. :-/

Take it easy guys.

pcguru83, i'm probably old enough to be your father so don't piss me off as you will lose. you made the mistake of posting that post without reading the rules properly. it states clearly "you/your" so is as a single individual or as a company. it is advertising whether or not you think so. check in the dictionary for the meaning of advertisement

Ok, here's some things to consider for pcguru83 :

The rules where written by someone to whom english is a second language.

Offering goods of services in any way is considered advertising, go check the dictionary after you have those new glasses installed.

The average age of posters here lies somewhere between 20-50 years old, so try again.

And as for a common response, here's a common one from me :

i was not trying to be mean. But after many years of helping people here it gets a bit old when everyone comes here and does not bother to even read the forum rules.
There are other forums out there that have a buy/sell/trade or auction section. Like teammodders.com or xtremesource.com
and of course the mentioned and well known Ebay.

These are great forums with very helpful people, the reason for that is because of the rules, and the fact that the moderators and senior members try to keep stressing them.

I have been on many other forums where they would actually have been very mean and insulting, and flamed you to no end for not following their rules.
