I purchase a phone from Cable and Wireless...but i need to go on Digicel
network can some 1 help me please....
Phone informataion
Currently locked to Cable and Wireless
IMEI: 010500001112850
Model: 1108b
Plz...Provide a unlock code for
>digicel and
>cable and wireless
if both unlock codes are used to switch from network to network regularly would it affect the phone, if so can you say how...?

In any event, I do not think that C&W and Digicel are compatable.

They may look the same. look under the battery. check the model numbers.
Cable & Wireless;Jamaica GSM 1900
DIGICEL;Jamaica GSM 900/1800/1900
The 1108 is a Duel band phone. Either 850/1900 or 900/1800.
I think the 1108b may be 850/1900. Check the manual. Type in *#0000# and tell us what you see.

OK,
I think that is the 1108b working on 850/1900. Once unlocked, it should work with Digicel in Jamaica although I have to wonder how well. It will still work with C&W. Just put in a new SIM. It will work in the US and other Islands.
Now we have the required info to help.
You know the risks? You have only five tries and then you will need a cable hook-up to unlock. I think it would be better for someone with the experience helps you. If no one responds I will try.

If you know the risks, try this ONCE and let us know if it works. You have only 5 tries and then it will be hard locked. After that you will need a cable thinga-me-jiggy to unlock it. It should still work on your Network so no big loss.

Remove sim first,power on the phone.
After the phone boots up, press #
Press * 3 times fast for (p) \
Press * 4 times fast for (w) IMPORTANT
Press * 2 times fast for (+) /
IMPORTANT!!
Verify code before pressing the last #.
"Phone restrictions off", it's unlocked.

My friend hear about my sucess and asked me if you could help him. His phone info is:
Sumung sgh-x427
IMEI: 010331007537159
Dualband Phone
He got it from overseas and no jamaica chip seem to work in it. Digicel or Cable & Wireless. He said he wants it on Cable & wireless but if it can't digicel will do thats alot again for your help.
