is there software that might get a damaged dvd (incomplete)burn back from the dead

No dude it's now a Coaster, unless it was a RW disc.

To get less failed burns try burning with good media, such as Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden ( althought i like Riteks as well, bit cheaper )

Also try burning at a slower speed, I normally burn at no more than 4x-6x.
