every one of the other discs in the season backed up fine, but 4 won't. it'll get to 99% and say that invalid parameter crap. and fabdecrypter couldn't do it either. anydvd didn't help either. shoot, i even borrowed my friend's copy to try to back it up, didnt work. do these have some new ungodly protection or somethin?

Not to my knowledge, I made copies of my uncle's season(s)for him, and I didn't run into a single problem. Just wanted to clear that up, but I don't really know what the problem could be, bad press for you and your friend?, or maybe your burner or comp has something to do with it...

Make sure both of those programs are up tp date and you may want to add a program called VobBlanker which will allow you to delete dummy files (among others) from dvds.
