I recently installed
NEROVision Express V 3.0.1.34
NERO OEM 6.6.0.8
On a friends computer who had DVDshrink and after DVDshrink got done ripping the movie it went right into burning mode with this exact version of NERO. I came home, installed NERO on my system and DVDshrink does not show that it will automatically burn with NERO. I tried unitstalling DVDshrink and reinstalling and that did not work. Can you please give me some advice?

In shrinks preferences, do you have the box ticked that says burn with Nero?

I also noticed that in Nero, the poineer DVR-110D drive that I just bought as the 2nd drive is showing up as Not avaialble, however I have been using this drive to burn in other programs, like (dare I mention it) Roxio.

Thanks DVDRWDAN

But when I choose a backup target, it does not show any recorders as an option. Any other ideas?

Extreme11, this is what you should try:

You state you use/used roxio, you should have only on the burning app installed to avoid any conflicts. Remove roxio from your PC using the add/remove programs feature them run the roxio zapper tool to make sure it's completely gone, you can get the tool here;

http://www.softpedia.com/get/Tweak/Uninstallers/Roxio-Zap.shtml

Next, you need to upgrade your version of nero, so uninstall the NERO OEM 6.6.0.8 from your PC using the nero general clean tool found here (write down the serial number for re-entry later);

http://ww2.nero.com/nero6/enu/General_CleanTool.html

Now download and install nero6 version 6.6.0.18 found here (re-enter the serial# after the installation is complete);

http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Nero6/Nero-6.6.0.18_no_yt.exe

Unless there's something wrong with your burners, nero should now be able to recognize them. Follow the guide from the link provided to set shrink to burn with nero.

Hey John

bad news, good news

Bad news is that it did not work, good news I have something new to try. I read this on one of your links at Digital Digest

*NOTE* - If your copy of Nero was bundled with your writer it is extremely likely that you have an OEM version that will only work with that single writer. Should you purchase another writer, the version of Nero that you previously have installed will probably not work with it. To remedy this you would need to upgrade to the full version by contacting Nero for an upgrade serial number.

NOw Nero Works with my Pioneer (that FYI said it came with Nero, but I never saw it in the package!!) , but maybe this is why Shrink does not recognize it?

Well my Nero version is from a Sony Drive and I own a pioneer. Now I also have the NeroExpress and Nero BurningROM V4 - Prassi ABCD, I do not suppose any of these will work? Man this has been a long process.

Thanks for not giving up
