This same question has been answered about a zillion times.

Somewhere in that mix of .001's there will be a plain old .rar

Right click on THAT .rar, and choose "extract here" or "extract to..." if you want it to go somewhere else.

It will automatically combine and extract.

Then right click the first one in the series, .001, and choose "Extract here".

If it won't let you, double click it, choose "choose program from list", select WinRAR, then when it opens, click "extract to..." and go from there.

.001's are rar files.

well hello there,

i'm a newsgroup user, and also download warez in the *.rar and *.001 file format and occasionaly ther is a different format variant of the 001 format , that doesn't let you open and join the files together with winrar, however i found a program that works great with with split files, it called hjsplit.exe wich you find here:

http://www.freebyte.com/hjsplit/#win32

first do a checksum the join , and your game will be extracted !!

hope this helps
