Breaker Pro Disc Won't Read In PS2

I finally got my Breaker Pro in the mail today...I removed the face plate on my PS2 and I've done everything I can....but the disc won't play in my PS2...all it does is just make some whirling and clicking noices and the screen goes black. I tried this method found on these forums...

Here is a step by step guide for Breaker Pro: 1. Turn on the PS2. 2. Open disc tray. 3. Insert Breaker Pro. 4. Close Disc tray. 5. Hit Reset. 6. Wait for Breaker Pro to boot

and it still does'nt work. My PS2 has never had a disc read error ever and when I take out Breaker Pro and pop in another game it works just fine. Can someone help me please...I feel like I just wasted my money...
