is their a way to downgrade your os with out a back up disk our anything like that .

i try to reinstall it but it says that the version i have is higher so it cant do it

What do you mean downgrade XP?...Like uninstall Service Pack 2?

It mayb the only choice u have to reformat because if u want to downgrade from XP it will also change the file sys and structure etc... and thats why its givin u that msg.

I recommend u backup what u need and do a format.

Ok from now on make 2 partitions.......the first partition be your system...and the second is where you should store alll of your data....That wasy you could format the First partition and start clean and still have all your data......You will have to reintall every program though
