Jeez why can't it be like this for UK! I'm currently looking for a 100 pack of 8x 4.7GB Taiyo Yuden DVD-R, but can't find any at a fairly decent price.

There's a pack of 100 unbranded DVD-R at SVP for £29.99. Is that the best deal I can find? And exactly what is silver thermal lacquer? Why can't I find any on UK DVD sites? Can you write on DVDs that are silver thermal lacquer with a DVD media marker pen?

@Nightport, there's other TY stuff at svp, though these days not as cheap as before, i've been buying the Verbatim 16x Yuden000T03 but they're still £30 for 100. they don't seem to get the 8x Verbatim TYG02 anymore, they were i think £6.70 for 25 previously

Anything in the +r format?
I have always used +r (booktypted as well).
Currently I am getting Verbatim (MCC003) locally for 15-20 $ (US)
for a 50 pack spindle.
I used to get Fujifilm (MIJ) THAT WOULD CODE TO BE (TYG002)
That was GREAT media but I cant it find it anymore.
Thanks for the information,keep me in mind for some +r media.

Thanks a bunch for the link to the 4x TY's on Meritline. I bought 300 of them, should be here this week.

I burn at 4x anyways, and -R's play in everything I have....
