I have a number of problems with xp that seem related.

The screen blanks out for a while before coming back on.
The graphics get scrambled.
Eventually the computer freezes.

It happens with all monitors.
I reinstalled xp and it still happens.

Please can anybody help as it's driving me crazy! Is it possibly a memory problem.

My son plays Maple on this machine. Could that do it?

sounds like your graphics card is going mate i am not an expert with the inside of the pc yet mainly the software but i would definitely say it was the graphics card try reinstalling the graphics card make sure you use the drivers that came woth the card not the drivers that XP automatically uses because they can sometimes not work :)
