@DamonDash
Yes you can use AnyDVD w/ DVD Decrypter.
From one of Slysoft version logs for AnyDVD:
- Note: To use DVDDecrypter with AnyDVD set I/O Model to SPTI or ElbyCDIO.
Set CSS Cracking method to none. Disable checking for structure
protection.

If you need DVD Decrypter the link is in my post above.
I agree w/ daman1 on memorex but whatever floats your boat:)
If it works for you great! Used em myself and either had burn failures or after a few months became unplayable. Mine usually id'd as CMC maybe yours are made by another manufacturer.
The fuji's you used may have been made by fuji themself and I agree they aren't very good.

LOL - been there and done that w/ Memorex myself. If they were made by CMC wait till you try to rip the copies again. Might have to pull the originals out. If Decrypter can't rip them imo nothing can.
While I like a challenge this one pissed me off - so never again any Memorex for me. Taiyo Yuden w/ some Verbs for me!

The MAIN problem with Memorex is if you burn too close to the outter edge you will have a very high percentage of freezing ect. toward the end of your movies. As for re-copying a backup with outter edge problems good luck because it will freeze during the read stage.

Saying that after a few months a disk will not work anymore, is not true. The only reason a disk would stop working is if the surface was too scratched to play, or your player is dirty/unresponsive. DVDs do not deteriorate noticeably due to the polymers they are made with. Think about it like this, are there any DVDs that you bought 6 or 7 years ago in perfect condition that will not play? Not unless the are scratched, etc...

Just posting my experience and others I know that used the same discs along w/ Princo and a few other iffy manufacturers. No scratches, dirt etc. At one they played and could be ripped again. Down the road - nope. Now using Taiyo Yuden discs almost 2 years old - not an issue -same burner & set up used.
Originals that you buy are pressed and not burned like backup's.
For those interested check out this link:
http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/334536 I agree condition plays a big factor but so does quality manufacturing among other things.
