Hi,
Can anyone recommend a UK site to order my media from? I struggle to find Verbatim DVD-R's at my local PC World or any of the brands recommended on this forum for that matter.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Found a great site advertised here on AD:
http://www.cd-rmedia.co.uk/
Had everything I needed, dead easy to find what you need.
PC World are theiving *******s, they had me in the net! £6.99 for 10 Verbatim CD-R's!

thread teleported to relevant forum.
PC World, like most brick and mortar stores in UK are robdogs, svp is awesome, and whilst they do sell a lot of crap media, it's totally obvious from the site what discs you'll get. for example -
http://svp.co.uk/products-solo.php?pid=203
Quote: Datawrite Titanium Silver (8x) DVD-R
ADVDInfo: CMC MAG. AE1/MCC 02RG20/TTG02
- ordering those could result in any of 3 different disc manufacturers' discs, the best out of those 3 are the MCC ones, but i wouldn't buy these Datawrite as it's a lottery as to which of the 3 you would get (at least svp are up front about this, one of the reasons i will never buy Datawrite is you can't tell which discs you'll get if you pick them up in a store or wherever). If i want MCC discs i'll buy Verbatim to ensure MCC discs, not Datawrite.
The only thing svp are lacking is being more clear as to which country their discs are from, ie if it's Japan they go to great lengths to say so, for non-Japan discs they don't say, and i often end up with old stocks of Verbatim ie made in India (saying that they do new discs from India too, ie 16x MCC004)

I ordered some DVD+R Verbatim from CD-RMedia.co.uk and they say "made in India". Also some Verbatim DVD+RW that are "made in Taiwan". Should I be worried about there quality?

i take it those are the 16x MCC004 then, as mine i recently bought from svp were made in India. they should be fine, as should any made in Taiwan Verbatim

http://www.supermediastore.com/dvd-clearance-3.html
don't u guys WISH you could get a deal like this from over here in the U.S. ? ?? ? LOL
creaky should be particularly fond of this deal... j/k
this is similar to the "lucky dip" 600 discs deal that pulsar mentioned, just found this to be comparable here in the U.S. notice the NO RETURNS mentioned :) LOL
taken from svp's "lucky dip" description as it pertains to this one too Quote: and quality will vary from one lucky dip box to another....so....do you feel lucky :)
