ive used the dvdfab program, then the vobblanker to remove all of its protection. and im still having a problem which i think is potection related. the dvd (rocky anthology if anyones wondering) aroung 4 gigs so i dont have to re-author it. i get an error from trying to burn the dvd files from vobblanker, error reading one of the vts files. and in nero, says simply rror reading files. in dvd decypter, it said the cyclic redundancy error. i dont know what to do and im getting very frustrated. is there a solution? am i doing sumthin wrong?

-thank you

I think your are having a problem ripping the disc to your hard drive?
Vobblanker doesn't burn and the errors you are getting sound like the disc is dirty/scratched or a bad press. Try cleaning it off.
Here's also a step by step guide on how to use the progs:

The disc is perfect and no, im not having a problem with dvdfab decrypter and i kno vobblanker doesnt burn. im trying to burn with DVD Decrypter or Nero, and it still gives me the crc error. like its protection that dvdfab or vobblanker didnt pick up on.

Make sure your using the latest DVDFab Decrypter (2.9.7.6) though even if not vobblanker should take care of any problem areas.
Post the error log for Nero to help sort this out.
If you are using Nero 6 they are located at:
program files>Ahead>Nero>NeroHistory.txt
For Nero 7:
Program files>Nero>Nero 7>Core>NeroHistory.txt.
Just be sure to edit out your serial # - usually begin w/ 1A,1C,5C.
Log are also separated by something like this:
=====***Nero Burning Rom History***=====
Just copy and paste whats between this for the last one.

Your Nero log displays the problem here:

11:11:28 AM #18 TRANSFER -25 File Reader.cpp, Line 364
Error reading data

This reflects what was stated by binkie above:
Quote:
the errors you are getting sound like the disc is dirty/scratched or a bad press
If the disk is clean and not badly scratched, you've got a bad press, where the burner is unable to correctly read information somewhere on the disk. Take the disk back and exchange it for another, then try the backup process again with the new disk.

well it says dvdfab decrypter and vobblanker are ripping it successfully. but ill jus try another disc from the anthology. rocky 1 worked great cuz it was the only one without major protection.

It could. Best bet is no mulitasking while ripping/encoding and burning.
If you downloaded something hopefully it was from a trustworthy/known site. You may want to do a virus scan. CRC errors on files on the pc usually mean that they are corrupt.

Shrink will work on some movies by itself w/o ripping w/dvdfab decrypter and running though vobblanker. Just depends on the copy protection. Rocky 2 is probably one it can do itself.
What brand of discs are you using?
Are you autoburning w/ Decrypter or Nero with Shrink?

well, i test burn on Nero. ive recently took dvd files from dvdfab+shrink, then made an image file with no problem so i can test burn on DVD Decrypter. well, it gave me a crc error. so i went to take the orginal dvd files through the vobblanker, and now Nero is giving me an error when i try to make an image of those files after vobblanker, saying it cannot read the file. im about to give up. im willing to try anythingg as long as it makes a successful copy. guaranteed.

The only 2 things I can think of is the files on your hard drive have become corrupted or the blank discs your using are poor quality.
Which brand are you using?
I don't think this disc has anything special on it and Shrink should be able to handle it alone.
So take the original and use Shrink. Once you click 'back up' in shrink you can either pick your burner (uses Nero burn engine) or decrypter to burn.
Or try using FixVTS on the ripped files:
http://www.videohelp.com/~FixVTS/
It this guarenteed - no
