Hey guys,

I burned a CD for my NHL hockey game for the Xbox (not 360). But my Thompson DVD drive would not read it. I burned it on CD-R/RW, DVD-R and DVD+RW. Could anybody tell me what CD/DVD the Thompson reads?

I'm using a HP DVD+RW, a Sony DVD-RW, and a Ridata DVD-R. I am playing NHL 2K6. My XBOX is not modded and I burned it using Nero.

If your Xbox is not modded you will not be able to play the game. You must have a chipped or soft modded Xbox to play a backup game. I cannot distinguish amongst your post which entry is your DVD writer or if they are all the types of media you have experimented with. I do know that HP DVDs are not the best and that you should be using DVD-Rs for the best results as well.

Shade, my hockey game is not burned :P It's a CD full of goal horns for my Xbox. It just won't read.

What I am trying to say is: I have goal horns for my game NHL 2K6 that I want to put in. The problem is that my XBOX drive is not reading the types of CD's I put in. It is NOT the game, as it is legit. It is the MUSIC CD that I am talking about.

Ok then your Xbox may not play it, because some drives will only play real audio CDs and not CD-Rs.

I bought a pack of CD/DVD at a computer outlet which includes a Sony DVD-RW, a no-name brand CD-R, HP DVD+RW, and a Ridata DVD-R. It could play but it's messed up.
