i backed up dvd movies to my xbox hd using dvd2xbox and wen i go to play them using xbmc they dont work???

I have been trying to back up movies from dvd to my xbox hd. I use xbmc to play them but the movie plays scrambled and ends up freezing a short time later. How do i get around this and get teh movies to work properly??
