thats not straight forward actually. you need something to convert the analgue to stream to a digital stream. You can get something from PC world or Argos and then use Nero or some other programme to manage the capture process

In other words your computer should have a tv tunner or a capture card.Using those you can connect to the pc a vcr,tv,camcorder, etcaetera.

I have done this several times for friends and family with old VHS Tapes. You will need a Card to capture the output of the VCR, you will need a program to capture the output( programs such as Nero and Roxio can do this, VirtualDub is free and can do this also), and a program to shrink the output. A burner to put the files on a DVD. I know this was really vague and general but if you are serious about doing this I am 100% willing to help you through it. So if you really want to do this post back with what type of cards you have installed in your pc and any software you have for burning video. If you do decide to do this I will get a whole lot more detailed with my replys.

I am assuming it is a PCI/AGP/PCI-X card? If so it should have a cable that plugs into it with audio and video in ports on it. The VCR hooks up to these just like it would the TV. Then you use a program like VirtualDub to capture the output. I can go more in depth if need be but im beat and im gonna hit the hay.
