Hi, long time lurker.

I was hoping to get a 2.6 required UMD running (Daxter) on my 1.5, and on my way to obtaining the firmware files myself for using MPHGL with PBP unpacker, PSAR dumper & the firmware processor, I've come across a couple of stumbling blocks:

* data.psar isn't being found
* even if I could dump the psar, I can't for the life of me find somewhere that's hosting the firmware processor these days

I take it the 2.6 psar's built differently to the previous versions?

I'm wondering if anyone would be able to help in either:

1) providing the 2.6 firmware in file format (I can get f1 myself easily enough if needs be)
2) instruct a method for me to get Daxter running? If possible I'd rather stick to running it from the UMD, because I only have a 1gb and the dump that I tried to make was over the card's capacity.

Who'd have thought that trying to run a legit UMD would be more difficult than an ISO? I managed to get Football Manager (with the help of a thread on this forum) working with the UMD Emulator RunUMD edit, after I had dumped it from UMD (only 540ish mb).

Thanks in advance.

There are 400MB ISO's of Daxter available, though the movies are obviously missing from that, but the game works fine.

You can get it running via Dax Pax V0.52. I had no luck getting my UMD to run so just used the ISO instead.

So if I want to play it on v1.5, I might as well return the game and use the credit for something else, and download a Daxter .iso?

Bah!

try using that pack, when your in umd emulator set iso emulation mode to "off" then start mphgameloader if it doesnt work then youll need to get a dump, ofcourse its illegal to have these backups if you dont have the original :)

Thanks for the help, but MPHGL just seems to do nothing and crash.

I might just make an executive decision and upgrade, there are games that I'd like nowadays and the AVC codec has been tempting me for months. Plus the LocoRoco demo for 2.7 looks great :)

If you only want to run the UMD, try RunUMD (download from:http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/404) using this X folder:http://rapidshare.de/files/17028377/x.rar.html (password is www.projectpsp.com)
