Ok I have looked around here, searched all that good stuff. Im still kind of lost.

Ok so for homebrew of PS2 theres emulators for some games, a media player and HDadvance. Is that pretty much it?

And I know you use elf files to load stuff... is there any guides for the language it uses or whatever to write your own... or what language does it use?

More less fill be in on whats all going on in homebrew for PS2 right now... whats out, and so on.

you pretty much nailed it. its emulators, media players, and launchers. the only way to write homebrew software is to find the out-of-production ps2 linux kit.

What about for slims, because the fat is the only PlayStation 2(I think) that is compatible with the Linux operating system. If there is a good tutorial somewhere on making a homebrew program without Linux, post the link, because I'm thinking of making an emulator for myself(of commercial arcade games, similar to MAME, but without dumping the game ROMs of the machines, writing the code myself, programming, sounds, graphics, etc.)
