Lately I am having problems with DVD playback particlarly new movies I use AnyDVd and keep it up to date and DVD Shrink usually with great success. but lately when put in player all I get is a disk eror. Using Office Depot DVD+R which I have never had a problem. Any help would be appreciated before I Go and get a new burner and if so what brand?

i have a sony x16 speed exturnal dvd burner and i love it. it burns fast and very smoothly. i haven't had and come out with gliches (yet)

Here's some things that may be helpful for you. You should defrag your hard drive often, burn at half speed and use good media (I use Verbatims). Now maybe your dvd player that you watch your movies may need a good cleaning. Tiger direct has 16x NEC burners for 39.99 that work great. If you have an office max in your area, verbatim's are on sale 14.99 for a 50 pack.

Thanks for the advice I purchased the verbatum Disks on sale at Office Max as recomended and have ordered a Sony burner so well see by the way you guys are great...
